Where did April Go?

I can't believe we are at the end of another month yet again. Time just flies by and especially with a few long weekends thrown in their for us Perthies. I am actually getting use to having a monday off every few weeks!

Everything has been going fairly well for me. My weight has plateau and I don't like it. I keep losing the same 500g. I have been really strict this week with food and exercise and saw a nice drop today so hopefully it keeps going down in this direction. I put on a little bit over easter but suprising not as bad as I thought. We went away over this period and I planned most of my meals and didn't indulge too much. We went to wineries down south and ate a few times- oh so bliss!

Training for my half is going great guns till I found out that the date I was supposed to be running is on the same weekend I have to be in Melbourne for my Grandma's 80th! I will not let this stop me though. I have found another one that is tougher and earlier by about a month. I am going to train hard to hopefully achieve this. We will see. I have bought new sneakers and they have felt good till two days ago when I did my long run and gave me huge blisters. I ran 10km today and the blister was killing me by the end.

Not much else to report. I am going to Melbourne in June too with 5 of my girlfriends for a weekend of footy, shopping and going out!

Can't wait!

Over Due

I am so bad at keeping this blog up-to-date. My intentions are always there and I always read the blogs but I need to learn to contribute more. I think I get too involved reading everyone's and then by the time I finish doing this I run out of time to update or I am too tired to do so. So from now I will type before I read.

I have been going really well. I down to my last 1.5kg to my goal weight. It doesn't sound like much but over the last 2 weeks I drop a little and then put it back on- I have really hit a plateau. I have been changing a few things this week so I hope to see a nice change.

Training has been going well. I had a half about a week and half ago with another lot of tonsilitis followed by a chest infection. Even walking had me coughing up a lung. Not a pretty sight. But since then I have been going really well. My boss knows I am a keen runner so he has challenged me to do a half marathon with him. He has done one before also but would like the challenge to do another and wants me to inspire him. I think we will be feeding off eachother. So the training has started for that. There are a few in Perth so it just is a matter of deciding on which one to do.

I have also been doing a lot of pilates and bikram and this has helped out so much. I am getting less back pain and have increased my flexibity so much. I am hoping to continue this throughout my training to keep me injury free. I don't want to be like the last time I trained for the half and tear my hip flexor about 3 weeks before the race.

Work like usual is super busy but looking forward to having four days off. I am going away with bf for some much needed relax and wind down time. I will hopefully get some scenic runs in there too.

So happy easter to all!

Love Amy

Ps. Thanks Selina and Hilary for messaging me- it made me get a move on and up-date my blog!!xxx
